Paris

This is my favorite of the many Paris pictures that my friend Steph has emailed me. I love it when friends do sweet things like that when they know how much you love something it has been my dream to go there for many years. The good news is this dream is going to come true either in October or next March. My friend Kelly and I are going to walk a marathon to raise money for diabetes research. Diabetes was one of the main ailments my mom suffered from, probably what hindered her from living as fully as she desired. I am doing this for her and her memory. It is my greatest hope that one day a cure will be found so no one else will suffer the way she did. The marathon will be in either Dublin or Rome depending on the time of year we go. Originally we had planned to do the Hawaii marathon, because when I was 12 my mom and I took a mother daughter trip to Hawaii and it was one of the few times she was healthy for an extended period of time (2weeks)...I wanted to go and reminisce, but I think it is time for me to do something for me and since I dream of Paris, Kelly and I thought maybe we should walk in Europe and then travel together after. The only sure way to get our butts on the plane is if we have a solid plan...as we are both dreamers. .... If we have a plan we are do-ers.
